Which kind of testing do you need?

01

Keep your recommended screenings up to date

Your age, family history and prior results help determine which screenings you need. Breast, cervical, colorectal and lung screening each have a role for eligible patients. We review what you have completed and what is due.
02

Consider an additional multi-cancer blood test

Galleri and Cancerguard look for signals from multiple cancer types, including some without routine screening for people at average risk. Your physician can help you decide what an additional test may add.
03

Find a colorectal screening option you can complete

Colonoscopy, stool testing and blood testing differ in preparation and screening detection rates. Your physician explains the choices and checks your risk. If a blood or stool result is positive, your physician reviews it with you and explains the next steps, which usually include a colonoscopy.

Common questions

Your questions, answered

Yes. Galleri, Cancerguard, Shield and Cologuard are offered at cost to members when your physician recommends them.

Not necessarily. They serve different purposes, and more testing is not always more useful. Your physician recommends a plan based on your age, risk and prior results.

Tell your physician now rather than waiting for a screening test. Symptoms call for an evaluation by your physician, not a screening test.

Your physician reviews the result with you, explains what it means and discusses the options. When further testing or a specialist is warranted, your physician orders the tests or arranges the referral. This may include imaging, a colonoscopy or a specialist visit. You stay with the same physician throughout.
