Does membership include the Inpatient Advocate Service?

For Premier members, this service is fully included and unlimited. Your personal physician will visit you daily at the hospital to coordinate care and advocate for your needs. For Basic and Gold members, this critical service is available at a discounted hourly rate.

Is there an age requirement for Premier Membership?

Yes, for patients 65 and older. This ensures our senior patients have full access to our comprehensive Inpatient Advocate Service. However, patients of all ages may upgrade to Premier if they desire the highest level of advocacy and access.

Can I upgrade to Premier later?

Yes, you can upgrade to Premier at any time to access unlimited Inpatient Advocate Service and 24/7 cell phone access.

How does Medicare Opt-Out work?

IMLWP has opted out of Medicare to preserve the quality of our physician-patient relationship. While we do not bill Medicare for our professional services, your Medicare coverage remains fully valid for everything we order—including prescriptions, hospital stays, labs, and imaging.

Can I still use my insurance for medications?
Yes. You can continue to use your commercial insurance or Medicare Part D plans to cover prescriptions (including GLP-1 therapies) at your pharmacy, exactly as you always have.
What payment methods do you accept?

We accept ACH (bank auto-withdrawal), Credit/Debit cards (fees may apply), and Checks (preferred for annual payments). Note that Premier Membership requires an annual payment for the first year. Subsequent years may be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.

Do you offer a discount for couples?

Yes. When both partners enroll in the Premier tier, we apply a 5% courtesy discount to each membership.

Do you offer discounts for part-time residents?

We do not offer discounts for part-time residents. Members hospitalized outside of Lee County may call to request hospital advocacy over the phone, but please note we will not have direct access to hospital records or privileges outside our local area.

I have family or friends visiting. Can you them for acute illness?

Yes. We are happy to extend care to visiting family and friends for acute, non-emergency needs (subject to availability). Please note these visits are not included in membership and incur a separate professional fee.

Which hospitals are covered?

We provide direct, in-person rounds at Gulf Coast Medical Center, HealthPark Medical Center, and Lee Memorial Hospital. For Cape Coral Hospital, we provide advocacy via phone and EPIC medical record integration.

How does membership renewal work?

Your membership enrollment automatically renews every 12 months from the date of your initial enrollment. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

What is your policy if I wish to end my relationship?

You may cancel with written notice. Because we limit our patient panel to ensure availability, we retain a 90-day period following notice to allow for a safe transition of care to your new physician. We remain fully available to care for you during this transition period.

Important Notice for Medicare Patients

IMLWP has opted out of Medicare. This means that Medicare cannot be billed for any services provided by our physicians. Medicare patients are welcome to join our practice but must sign a private contract (ABN) acknowledging that they will not submit claims to Medicare for our professional services.

However, your Medicare coverage remains valid for all services ordered by us but performed elsewhere, such as prescriptions, hospitalizations, external laboratory testing, and specialist visits at any Medicare-accepting provider or location.
