Why Bonita Residents Choose an Independent Medical Home

As hospital systems consolidate practices across Southwest Florida, finding a truly independent physician is becoming rare. We are not owned by a hospital corporation or private equity firm. We answer only to our patients.

No Corporate Quotas

We treat you based on medical evidence, not system metrics.

Direct Access

No call centers or gatekeepers. Speak directly to our staff.

Continuity

Build a relationship with your personal physician, not a roster.

Advanced Lipidology & Prevention

Many Bonita Springs residents are active retirees focused on longevity. Dr. Kordonowy is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology, offering cardiovascular prevention rarely found in standard primary care.

Advanced Testing

We utilize Lp(a), ApoB, and LDL-P testing to identify risk decades before an event. These advanced biomarkers reveal hidden cardiovascular danger that standard cholesterol panels miss.

The "Chemistry" Approach

While cardiologists fix the “plumbing” (blockages), we fix the “chemistry” (blood composition) to prevent the blockage from forming in the first place.

What Bonita Springs Patients Say

“I used to just go to a clinic right down the street in Bonita, but making the drive to Fort Myers changed everything. Dr. Kordonowy found a hidden issue with my heart health that just wasn’t showing up on my normal yearly bloodwork. It is totally worth the trip to have a doctor who actually looks deeper.”

- Eric B., Bonita Bay Resident

“We had gotten so used to feeling like just another number at our old clinic. Finding Dr. Marconi changed everything. He treats both my husband and me, and he actually remembers the details of our health without flipping through a chart. It’s exactly what healthcare should feel like—unhurried, personal, and incredibly thorough.”

- Linda M., Pelican Landing Resident

“Dr. Marconi takes the time to listen — really listen. My appointments are never rushed, and I can reach the office directly when I need something. This is how medicine should work.”

- Joanne P., The Brooks Resident

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from Bonita Springs residents about our concierge practice.

What is concierge medicine, and how does it differ from traditional primary care?

Concierge medicine (also called direct primary care) replaces the insurance-driven model with a membership-based relationship. Instead of 7-minute rushed appointments with rotating providers, our members receive 30-60 minute unhurried visits, same-day appointments, direct physician access, and a limited patient panel — ensuring your doctor knows your complete medical history. It’s primary care as it was meant to be.

Can I use telemedicine for most doctor appointments?

Yes, for many types of visits. Routine follow-ups, prescription renewals, lab result reviews, and non-urgent consultations can all be conducted via secure video telemedicine right from your Bonita Springs home. In-person visits are reserved for comprehensive annual physicals, advanced lipid panels, CIMT scans, body composition analysis, and complex diagnostic evaluations — visits that genuinely require hands-on examination and on-site testing. This hybrid approach means most of our Bonita patients only need to make the drive up to the office a few times a year.

What does a concierge membership include?
Every membership includes unlimited office visits, an annual comprehensive physical with labs, same-day and next-day appointments, on-site diagnostic testing, access to our in-house medication dispensary at wholesale prices, annual flu vaccination, and secure online messaging with your physician. Premier members also receive 24/7 direct cell phone access to their physician and unlimited Inpatient Advocate Service. Visit our membership page for complete details.
Do you accept Medicare or insurance?

Our practice has opted out of Medicare and insurance. Your membership fee covers all office visits and in-office services. Medicare and private insurance still cover external services such as lab work, imaging, specialist referrals, and hospital care.

Can I get my medications mailed to me?

Yes. Our in-house dispensary stocks a wide range of generic medications at wholesale member pricing. You can pick up prescriptions during an in-person visit, or we will mail them directly to your Bonita Springs home — no pharmacy stop, no extra trip required. For brand-name or specialty medications, we send prescriptions electronically to your preferred Bonita Springs pharmacy.

What is advanced lipidology, and why should I consider it?

Standard cholesterol panels miss up to 50% of cardiovascular risk. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology, Dr. Kordonowy utilizes advanced biomarkers — Lp(a), ApoB, and LDL Particle Number — to reveal hidden risk factors that standard testing cannot detect. This is particularly important for active retirees in Bonita Springs focused on longevity and prevention.

Can I keep my existing specialists?

Absolutely. We serve as your primary care medical home and coordinate with your existing cardiologist, dermatologist, orthopedist, and other specialists. Think of us as the quarterback of your healthcare team — we ensure all your providers are working from the same playbook.

What happens if I need hospital care?

For our Premier members, we offer an exclusive Inpatient Advocate Service. This includes daily, in-person bedside rounds by our physicians at Gulf Coast Medical Center, HealthPark, and Lee Memorial Hospital. For all other membership tiers, inpatient care is directed by the hospitalist on staff, and we resume your comprehensive care immediately upon discharge.

Do you offer care for seasonal residents?

Yes. Many of our Bonita Springs members are seasonal residents who split time between Southwest Florida and northern states. We coordinate directly with your northern physicians to maintain one unified medical narrative, manage medication transitions when you arrive and depart, and provide telemedicine access year-round — even when you are up north. Our concierge model eliminates the “new patient runaround” that seasonal residents typically face every season.

Are you currently accepting new patients?
Yes, we are currently accepting new patients. The process begins with a complimentary 30-minute meet-and-greet to ensure we’re the right fit, followed by a comprehensive 60-minute initial evaluation. Schedule your meet-and-greet →
