If you are searching for a concierge doctor in Naples, Florida, you are probably looking for something traditional healthcare does not always provide: more time with your physician, easier access when questions arise, personalized preventive care, and a doctor who understands your complete medical history.
At Internal Medicine, Lipids & Wellness Practice, also known as IMLWP, we provide concierge primary care for patients throughout Southwest Florida, including Naples, Pelican Bay, Park Shore, Port Royal, Grey Oaks, Mediterra, Bonita Springs, Estero, and surrounding communities.
Our practice is located in Fort Myers, but we serve many patients from Naples who believe the relationship they have with their physician is worth the drive. Through longer appointments, same-day availability, direct communication, advanced preventive care, and ongoing coordination, we give our patients a more personal alternative to high-volume healthcare.
If you are considering concierge medicine for yourself or a family member, here is what we want you to know.
What Is Concierge Medicine?
Concierge medicine is a membership-based approach to primary care that gives us the time and availability needed to develop a meaningful, continuous relationship with each patient.
Rather than maintaining an extremely large patient panel and moving quickly from one appointment to the next, we intentionally limit the number of patients we accept. This allows our physicians to spend more time listening, investigating, explaining, and developing an individualized plan.
Depending on your membership level, care at IMLWP may include:
- Longer, unrushed appointments
- Unlimited office visits
- Same-day appointments for acute medical concerns
- An annual physical with comprehensive laboratory testing
- After-hours medical advice
- Secure online access and messaging
- Specialist care coordination
- On-site metabolic, pulmonary, and cardiac testing
- Body fat and metabolic rate analysis
- An in-house dispensary offering many generic medications at wholesale pricing
- Preventive care focused on your long-term health
- Direct physician cell phone access for Premier members
- Inpatient hospital advocacy based on membership level and hospital location
Our goal is not simply to make appointments more convenient. We want to restore the kind of doctor-patient relationship in which your physician knows your history, understands your priorities, and remains involved in your care.
You can review our current benefits and eligibility requirements on our concierge membership plans page.
How Is Our Concierge Medical Practice Different From Traditional Primary Care?
The most noticeable differences are time, access, continuity, and the size of our patient panel.
Many traditional primary care offices must manage thousands of patients. Appointments may be brief, access can be limited, and you may see a different provider depending on who is available that day.
We have intentionally designed our practice differently.
Our standard visits generally last between 30 and 60 minutes. Initial appointments are approximately 90 minutes, allowing us to thoroughly review your medical history, medications, previous testing, lifestyle, present concerns, and long-term health goals.
This additional time allows us to look beyond the immediate symptom or the most recent laboratory result. We can examine how different aspects of your health may be connected, explain our recommendations, answer your questions, and develop a plan together.
Concierge medicine should not feel like faster access to the same rushed healthcare experience. It should provide a fundamentally more personal relationship with your physician.
Why Are Naples Residents Choosing Concierge Medicine?
Many Naples residents come to us because they have reached a point where they want more from their healthcare.
Some are managing several chronic conditions, seeing multiple specialists, or taking numerous medications. Others feel generally healthy but want to better understand their cardiovascular risks, metabolic health, family history, or opportunities for prevention.
We also see patients who are frustrated by short appointments, limited access to their physician, or a healthcare system in which no single doctor appears to be overseeing the complete picture.
Naples patients commonly contact us because they are experiencing:
- Difficulty scheduling timely appointments
- Rushed or impersonal office visits
- Limited communication with their actual physician
- Conflicting recommendations from multiple specialists
- Concerns about cholesterol, cardiovascular risk, diabetes, or metabolic health
- Uncertainty about medications and previous test results
- A need for greater preventive and proactive care
- Frustration with large hospital-owned healthcare systems
- Difficulty coordinating care between Florida and another state
We believe your primary care physician should be more than someone you see once a year. Your physician should know your history, understand your health goals, and help you make informed decisions throughout the year.
Does My Concierge Doctor Need to Be Located in Naples?
Not necessarily.
Location is certainly important, but it is not the only factor you should consider when choosing a concierge physician. The quality of the relationship, the physician’s experience, appointment length, accessibility, preventive services, and care coordination may be more important than having an office only a few minutes away.
Our independent medical practice is located at 6160 Winkler Road in Fort Myers. Depending on traffic and your starting point, our office is approximately 35 minutes from many parts of Naples using I-75.
Because we provide longer appointments and support our members between visits, many of our Naples patients are comfortable traveling farther for a physician they trust. We may also be able to address certain questions through secure messaging, telephone communication, or telemedicine when clinically appropriate.
Please keep in mind that your initial medical appointment will take place in person at our Fort Myers office.
If you would like to decide whether the relationship and level of care are worth the drive, we invite you to request a complimentary meet-and-greet.
What Should You Look for in a Naples Concierge Doctor?
Not every concierge medicine practice operates the same way. Before selecting a physician, we encourage you to ask specific questions about the care, access, and services included with membership.
How Long Are the Appointments?
Additional time is one of the most important benefits of concierge medicine. Ask whether appointments are long enough to discuss several concerns, review testing, ask questions, and fully understand the physician’s recommendations.
At IMLWP, our standard appointments generally last between 30 and 60 minutes. Initial appointments are approximately 90 minutes.
Will You See the Same Physician?
Continuity matters. You should have the opportunity to develop an ongoing relationship with a physician who becomes familiar with your medical history, medications, preferences, and health goals.
Our physician-led model is built around that continuous relationship.
Can You Contact the Physician After Hours?
Ask what happens when a medical concern develops at night or during the weekend. Determine whether you can receive advice from your physician or whether all communication is routed through a general answering service.
Our membership options include after-hours advice, while Premier membership provides 24/7 direct access to your physician’s cell phone.
Are Same-Day Appointments Available?
When you become ill or experience a new symptom, waiting several days for an appointment can be frustrating.
Our members receive same-day availability for acute, non-emergency medical concerns whenever possible.
Does the Physician Coordinate With Specialists?
If you see a cardiologist, endocrinologist, pulmonologist, gastroenterologist, or another specialist in Naples, your primary care physician should help connect those recommendations into one understandable plan.
We can coordinate with your existing specialists, review their recommendations, and help you understand how those recommendations fit into your overall care.
Is the Practice Independently Owned?
Our practice is independently owned and physician-led. We are not controlled by a hospital system or private equity organization.
This independence allows us to make decisions based on our medical judgment and the needs of our patients, rather than the volume requirements of a larger corporate healthcare system.
Does the Practice Offer Advanced Preventive Testing?
Routine testing provides valuable information, but some patients benefit from a deeper evaluation.
Depending on your history and medical needs, our preventive services may include advanced lipid testing, body fat analysis, metabolic rate testing, pulmonary testing, antioxidant scoring, cardiac exercise stress testing, and additional cardiovascular risk evaluation.
What Happens If You Are Hospitalized?
Ask whether your primary care physician communicates with the hospital team or remains involved during a hospitalization.
Our Premier membership includes our Inpatient Advocate Service for qualifying hospitalizations at Gulf Coast Medical Center, HealthPark Medical Center, and Lee Memorial Hospital. For Naples-area hospitalizations, we can communicate remotely with the hospital team to help maintain continuity.
What Makes IMLWP Different for Naples Patients?

Our concierge physicians include:
- Raymond Kordonowy, MD, Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and certified in Clinical Lipidology
- David Marconi, MD, Board-Certified in Family Medicine
- Michael Barry, DO, Board-Certified in Internal Medicine
Our physicians provide comprehensive care for acute and chronic health concerns, including:
- Hypertension
- Diabetes and metabolic syndrome
- Thyroid disorders
- Asthma and COPD
- Arthritis and joint concerns
- Digestive issues
- Anemia
- Weight management
- Geriatric medicine

- Cardiovascular risk
- Preventive health and longevity
We encourage you to meet our concierge physicians and learn more about their experience and clinical areas of focus.
What Is Advanced Lipidology?
Advanced lipidology is the specialized evaluation and management of cholesterol, lipoproteins, and other factors that can contribute to cardiovascular disease.
A standard cholesterol panel typically reports total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides. These measurements are useful, but they may not tell the entire story for every patient.
When medically appropriate, we may examine additional factors such as:
- Apolipoprotein B, commonly called ApoB
- LDL particle number
- Lipoprotein(a), also called Lp(a)
- Familial or inherited cholesterol disorders
- Insulin resistance
- Metabolic risk
- Cardiovascular risk that may not be obvious from a standard cholesterol panel
Dr. Raymond Kordonowy is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and certified in Clinical Lipidology. He has practiced medicine in Southwest Florida since 1993, with clinical interests that include advanced lipidology, metabolic syndrome, preventive cardiology, and inpatient hospital advocacy.
If you have a family history of heart disease, an elevated coronary calcium score, difficult-to-manage cholesterol, or cardiovascular risks that have not been fully explained, our advanced lipidology expertise may provide a more complete evaluation.
Is Concierge Medicine Helpful for Seasonal Naples Residents?
Yes. We frequently work with seasonal residents who divide their time between Naples and another state.
Receiving care from physicians in multiple locations can lead to disconnected records, duplicate testing, medication confusion, and uncertainty about which doctor is overseeing the complete plan.
We work to provide greater continuity throughout the year. Depending on your needs, this may include:
- Coordinating with physicians in another state
- Reviewing medication changes
- Sharing relevant medical information
- Providing telemedicine access when appropriate
- Maintaining a consistent primary care relationship
- Helping you understand recommendations from multiple specialists
Our goal is to provide one physician-led medical home that understands your history, even when you spend part of the year outside Florida.
Does Concierge Medicine Replace Health Insurance or Medicare?
No. A concierge membership does not replace health insurance, Medicare, emergency coverage, or hospital coverage.
We are an independent, private-pay medical practice. We do not bill commercial insurance or Medicare for professional services provided by our physicians.
Medicare patients must sign a private contract acknowledging that our professional services will not be submitted to Medicare. However, Medicare coverage generally remains available for eligible services performed by outside Medicare-participating providers.
Depending on your coverage, you may continue using insurance or Medicare for services such as:
- Hospital care
- Specialist appointments
- Diagnostic imaging
- External laboratory testing
- Prescription medications
- Emergency medical care
We recommend maintaining appropriate insurance coverage for services that are not included in your concierge membership.
How Much Does Concierge Medicine at IMLWP Cost?
We currently offer Core and Premier membership options.
Core membership is available for patients ages 16 through 64, with annual pricing based on age. Premier membership is available to adults of all ages and is required for patients age 65 and older.
The right membership depends on your age, medical needs, desired level of access, and whether inpatient hospital advocacy is important to you.
Because benefits, availability, and pricing may change, we recommend reviewing our current concierge membership options and pricing or speaking directly with our membership team.
Do We Provide Hospital Advocacy for Naples Patients?
Our Premier membership includes IMLWP’s Inpatient Advocate Service.
For qualifying hospitalizations at Gulf Coast Medical Center, HealthPark Medical Center, and Lee Memorial Hospital, your IMLWP physician can provide daily bedside visits, communicate with the hospital team, and help you understand the proposed treatment plan.
If you are admitted to a Naples-area hospital, we can communicate remotely with the hospital care team to help maintain continuity and ensure that relevant medical history is considered.
If in-person hospital advocacy is an important part of your decision, please discuss hospital coverage and membership requirements with us before enrolling.
How Do You Get Started With IMLWP?
The first step is to schedule a complimentary 30-minute meet-and-greet.
This gives you an opportunity to meet one of our physicians, learn how our practice works, discuss your healthcare priorities, and decide whether we are the right fit for you.
If you choose to join, your first medical appointment will be an approximately 90-minute, in-person visit at our Fort Myers office. During that appointment, we will review your medical history, medications, previous testing, lifestyle, concerns, and long-term health goals.
We are currently accepting a limited number of new patients from Naples and other Southwest Florida communities.
