As it turns out, I’m not the only physician struggling to stay afloat in this severely mismanaged healthcare system.  This recent survey shows that 26% of private practice physicians could close their practices within a year.  This is all due to government regulations, Medicare price fixing, and malpractice lawsuits.  Things look even more dismal since the Supreme Court betrayed the founding principles of America and upheld the Affordable Care Act.  If the people of America don’t tell their congressmen to allow balance billing to return, many private practice physicians will be forced to close their doors, leading to longer emergency room waits and poorer health for Americans. Refer to my prior blog post for more opinions on how the healthcare system can be improved.
